The universe is a great and astonishing work by the Lord. The Lord created the
finest of details in everything in the universe. On Earth, the Lord created the
most beautiful objects such as buildings, nature, and animals. Artists today try
to incorperate the objects into there work. In Mount Si ceramics class uses the
clay given by nature to make pottery and uses the glaze to color them. In this
years' ceramics class I use different techniques, similar colors, and create
much more usable objects for my daily life.

There are many
techniques for different objects but I stick to closely to basic forms when creating my
bowls and my cylinders.
For my bowls, they tend to all be similar in size and
the top usually flares out. I do this because when having an average size they
all stick to being more in a more basic. They also tend to look wide which bowls are usually formed as. Also, it is averaged in size it doesnt ruin the big picture when showing my personality in my work. My bowls are closely related in size which can help not confuse my work with someone elses.
Similarly, I use a basic form on cylinders and try to make them tall. The taller
they are makes them all seem simlar in shape to show that they are really
cylinders. It also helps me to me able to add objects or change stuff on the top if i want to make it a
wheel altered or put coils above it and while the object stays the same in form as a cylinder. There are different
ways of making projects in ceramics but basic helps me in being able to do more
with my projects.

Now, the glaze of my projects
are usually similar in amount and variety. The amount of glaze i put on a
project is usually around two glazes or two types of mixes of glaze. I do this so that the project doesn't get
too messy and it looks cleaner. The two usually compliment each other also
making the projects stand out especially when the project isn't well made. I
stick to making most of the projects the same color. I used white a bunch because
white helps compliment the other color by making it stick out and not be all
over the place. Sticking to the same colors also helps me make my projects look
similar to each other creating an identity on what I create. The glazes usually make
the basic projects look greater than what they actually are. My colors on my
projects are usually the same in quantity and quality.

Lastly, my projects are created to be more
usable in my daily life. My bowls are made for soups, food and random
miscellaneous. I made them this way so that my family can use it and not just
myself. Ive had chicken noodle soup placed on it as well as different types of
food like chicken, rice and spaghetti. It also helps me organize stuff much more
easily; creating space for random junk around my house that need a home. I also
made my cylinders able to help around the house with the junk. My cylinders are
made to be tall so it can hold objects such as pencils, pet food, and other
junk. My plates were made fairly big just so that I can use it for big meals.
This helps put a spot for every little bit of food on the plate. My items are
made to help me stay organized and be able to eat in my daily life.

My projects all are created using different
strategies, a low variety of glazes, and to help sustain my organization in
life. These projects are helpful to me because they show the effort I put into
them and quality i think about when creating the type of art found in ceramics.
These arts make life easier and more meaningful and thats how the artists in
modern day should see it as. For the world was created in a fantastic manner and
should be looked close at through every tiny detail. The Lord made sure that
everything in the world was just amazing and thats why he focused on the
littlest of details that we should all appreciate one way or another.
